Take Away 4/14/14

From tonight's class i finally learned how to make my PowerPoint more interactive by providing different buttons within the slides instead of just clicking the mouse. I think this can bring my PowerPoint lessons to another level. One way i can see this being useful is within a math lesson. I feel like math lessons are very complex and provide students a lot of information. so it would be nice to organize the PowerPoint in a certain way so the students stay on track and don't lose focus. i also like this quiz idea at the end of the PowerPoint. it tests the students knowledge of what they have just learned and allows them to know what they need to study better. Another way i think this can be incorporated into my classroom is to create a Jeopardy game using these tools in PowerPoint. This can be something as a reward for the class and can make them want to study and do well on their assignments. Before tonight I've always wanted to do something like this but never knew how to implement it well. now that i know how to incorporate the different hyperlinks creating something like a Jeopardy game will be time consuming but much easier than before.
